In Los Angeles and surrounding counties, from Hollywood to who knows where, Jerry Giles Photography strives to shoot the actors’ headshots that capture the “real” them. But not only the real them, the real them as it applies to different roles. The headshot is the first audition. When you walk into the casting director’s office it is the call-back. They’ve already seen something in the headshot that made them think you could be “this” character and play that particular role. Sure, the resume can tell them that you’ve had experience, but it is your headshot that will sell them on whether or not you’re the person for the role they are casting right then. As an actor for over 20 years and 100 SAG/AFTRA gigs, Jerry wants to find the right and real you so that when the CD sees your headshot they know that their job is finished- that they just found the right person for the role. Of course, at that point you have to go in and nail the audition, but you probably wouldn’t have gotten the audition without that picture. So summon up your confidence, do your homework, take a deep breath and get that job!
